It's been a while since I've updated the NDS section, so over the last few days I uploaded 200 new NDS ROMs. The set is now up to date (to the 100th ROM) and is sitting at 3800 ROMs.
Just reminding you that everyone can download all the NDS ROMs without points too!

Happy weekend! Points are no longer required to download NDS and GBA ROMs. The lack of the Premium group and donations sparked this decision a month ago. All premium members were notified and were able to cancel if they no longer wanted to contribute. I am happy to say a few have stayed on the boat to help us out :).
Anyways, NDS and GBA shall remain free whereas new ROMs such as Dreamcast will require points or may be exclusive to premium users.
In other Site News, I am working on a system to track the ROMs you download and store them in a history rather than just count the number and display them. All this and more coming in the future... Just bear with me- I'm working over 40 hours a week :D.

Hello everyone,
Just a heads up about the points system. It will be removed come the 12th of June due to a bunch of reasons. Spam in the forums and lack of interest in the Premium usergroup have sparked this decision.
The Premium usergroup will remain though, to provide access to Premium-only draws and contests and access to some planned future downloads (mainly Dreamcast ROMs).
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

Hey guys- just announcing the very first points contest here at DaRoms. I want to drive some interest in download points so I'm going to be giving them away for absolutely free!
So here it goes. This is the first contest so winning will be really easy- I promise!
The prize at stake is 100 download points, and they will be awarded to the first 5 users that send me a pm saying "Give me those points!".
That's right, you can score 100 fresh download points for just sending a PM. Be fast, I'll be awarding it only to the first 5 users to pm me :).

Hello everyone,
I hope you've all enjoyed that little demonstration of the Premium usergroup. Unlimited downloads without using points can be such a great thing, can't it? Anyways, these demos will happen every so often. This one lasted about two weeks whereas others may last only one day- so make sure you visit often to check!
On another note. NDS ROMs 3401-3600 are on their way to DaRoms. I will also be updating the current MAME set from 0.113 to 0.129. Yes, this is quite the update on the MAME front- so it will involve re-uploading the entire set (will take a few days). Also- I hope to get our new category addition to the site soon. If you haven't guessed it from my clues already, a COMPLETE USA DREAMCAST set will be coming to DaRoms.

Happy Spring everyone!
Although my greetings are a little late, it comes with all the warmth Spring brings. To heat things up at DaRoms, I've enabled a demo of the premium usergroup to all users. That means no download points for NDS and GBA ROMs! This demo will go on for a few days to try and get people to sign up for the Premium usergroup. Hopefully with some more subscribers I can open up the new sections I've been hoping to open *cough* Dreamcast *cough*.
On another note, I've updated the NAOMI section with all games that could be dumped and decrypted. Note that not all of them are playable (such as DOA 2), but the bulk of them are enjoyable!

6:00pm EST rolled around and I ran the script to pick a winner. Just a random number picker with each user ID associated to a number between 0 and 7 (8 users in total). The number that came up was 3. The user ID associated to the number 3 was 5995. We have a winner :).
The username with the ID 5995 is *drum roll* sweetiepie627! Congratulations on winning the first ever DaRom's premium draw. I would also like to thank everyone else for participating and helping DaRoms out. You guys make these great things happen.
We will be having another draw sometime soon, if you guys have any ideas for the prize, feel free to post it in the Premium section of the forums.

Since tomorrow is the draw, the entries will close today. The draw will take place tomorrow at 6pm EST. There are currently eight people in the Premium usergroup, so the odds are pretty good. I hope everyone is excited!
